Training

At SBD Drilling, the development & training of our personnel is regarded as our No 1 priority. This ensures our people have the set skills to operate at optimum levels of safety & efficiency, in turn delivering maximum client satisfaction.  

Following a suitability assessment, all our field staff are put through a pre-employment medical including musculoskeletal assessment, drug screen and pre-employment medical, prior to commencement of their employment.

Our Field Supervisors are Diploma – Drilling Operations qualified, with Senior Drillers Certificate IV qualified and Senior Offsiders Certificate II qualified.

As a minimum, SBD Drilling ensures the following training is provided to each field based employee:

• Comprehensive SBD Drilling Induction
• SBD Drilling Practical & Written Assessments
• Senior First Aid
• Isolation Training
• Working at Heights
• 4×4 Advanced Driver Training
• Fire Training

Some clients may have site specific Safety and Training requirements; SBD will work with all clients to ensure SBD employees receive the necessary accreditations & training to ensure contract compliance.
